My Ham Radio History
Ham Radio began for me when I was 9 years old. I had a fascination with flashlights, batteries, bulbs, and wire. Mom and Dad hid the flashlights in the house because I would take them apart, but I was never able to get them back together in working order.

My family took a vacation to Colorado when I was 9 and stopped by the brother for one Dad's friends. Lo and behold, this guy was a ham. Now, I don't remember much, but I do remember a lot of black boxes in large vertical racks. I would not leave the room. This guy gave be a J-38 hand key which I still have today. That was in 1959.

I warn you, it is quite lengthy and rather boring if you did not live it. I did this becuse I have elderly parents and needed to get together the information where I could write their story when their story ended. This got be thinking about my story and what my children do not know about me. So, you have been warned....
